Zepbound Week 1 Results | GLP-1 Weight Loss Journey, Symptoms, & New Measurements
Our summary
In this video, Enid Sabel reviews her first week on Zepbound after her first shot on July 31st and shows her second injection on camera. She says she took a protein shake before each shot and let the pen sit out for 30 to 40 minutes beforehand. According to her, she felt fine for about 10 hours after the first dose, then developed nausea in the evening. Nausea and reflux were strongest over the first two to three days, along with strong thirst, reduced appetite and a deeper sleep than usual. She also mentions tiredness, muscle aches in her legs and back, and occasional lightheadedness, and says she is unsure whether the aches come from the shot or from stress. Her cravings, including for sweets, returned around days four and five.

She then repeats her measurements. She says her weight went from 177.8 to 175.8 pounds, and she reports changes at the bust, hips, waist and arms compared with her starting numbers. Her waist went from 36 and a half inches to 36, her bust from 40 and a half to 39, and each arm from 16 to 14 and a half. She says she did not work out during the week and plans to add exercise, more water and more protein in week two.
She describes the second injection in her right thigh, saying she felt only a small prick and no burning this time. She also talks about looser pants, wanting to return to wearing a faja, and says she discussed the medication with her doctor, who will check in again in three months. These are her personal experiences, not medical advice.

- GLP-1 constipation, nausea, diarrhoea and fatigue: the label numbers, and what the labels say to do
The four gut effects are the four most common side effects of every GLP-1, and the labels put numbers on them. On Wegovy 2.4 mg: nausea 44%, diarrhoea 30%, constipation 24%, vomiting 24%, fatigue 11%, against 16%, 16%, 11%, 6% and 5% on placebo. On Zepbound at 15 mg: nausea 28%, diarrhoea 23%, constipation 11%, vomiting 13%, fatigue 7%. They cluster around dose increases, they are the reason 6.8% of Wegovy patients and up to 6.7% of Zepbound patients stopped, and both labels prescribe the same fix: climb slower.
- Zepbound side effects: the label's table by dose, who actually quits, and how it compares to semaglutide
Zepbound's label puts a number on every common side effect at each of its three maintenance doses. Nausea runs 25 to 29 percent against 8 on placebo, diarrhoea 19 to 23, vomiting 8 to 13, constipation 11 to 17. Across the two approval trials, 4.8 to 6.7 percent of people stopped the drug because of side effects, against 3.4 percent on placebo, and most of those who quit did so in the first months, from gut effects during dose escalation. Below that table are the rarer things the label warns about, with the trial rates where it gives them, and the honest comparison to Ozempic's table.
- How long do Ozempic, Wegovy and Zepbound take to work? The label calendar and the trial timepoints
GLP-1s act from the first dose, but the labels start low on purpose and step up every 4 weeks, so most people do not reach a full dose for 3 to 5 months. Each dose reaches steady levels in the blood after about 4 to 5 weeks. In the trials, people averaged 10.6% weight loss after 20 weeks of Wegovy's escalation and 20.9% after 36 weeks of Zepbound, with the full trial results at 68 to 72 weeks. For type 2 diabetes, Ozempic's A1C results were measured at week 30.
