The market, drawn

The line is the median. The band behind it is the middle half of the market, so a single retail listing cannot distort the picture. The solid section is observed, recomputed from real checks since Aug 20; the hairline before it is a modeled reconstruction that ends on prices we verified. Only the solid section is data.

How the number is made

  • The definition. The median all-in monthly price of the cheapest verified offer at every US telehealth GLP-1 program we track. All-in means the advertised price plus any membership fee we have verified. Median rather than mean, so one retail listing cannot drag a market whose floor is far below it.
  • One program, one vote. A program contributes its own cheapest verified offer, so a seller with a long catalogue does not count more than a seller with one product.
  • Read from the seller’s own page. Every price carries the URL it came from and the date it was read. Nothing is estimated, and nothing modeled enters the dataset or the observed series.
  • Observations begin Aug 20. Anything drawn earlier is labelled modeled, on the chart and in the file.
