By molecule
The same definition applied to each active ingredient separately: every program counts once, at its cheapest offer of that molecule. “Dearest program” is the highest of those, and where a program sells a molecule only as a brand at list price, that list price is its cheapest offer, which is why it can sit far above the index ceiling.

What a month of each product costs at the middle program when you pay month to month and prepay nothing. The median all-in monthly price, paying month to month, across every live US telehealth GLP-1 program we track that sells the product at that dose tier. Each program counts once, at its cheapest month-to-month offer. Published only where at least 3 programs price the tier.

- All-in: the advertised monthly price plus any membership fee we verified. Insurance prices are left out.
- Each program counts once per product, at its cheapest month-to-month offer, which is its starting-dose price or its one flat price. A stated dose (for example 2 mg) becomes its own row only when 3 programs price that same dose.
- Offers that name no brand are counted as compounded. Microdosing plans are a separate row.
- The month is the month of our newest read; the oldest read behind the table is from October 2026.

How this is made, and what it does not show
Method
- The median all-in monthly price of the cheapest verified offer at every US telehealth GLP-1 program we track. All-in means the advertised price plus any membership fee we have verified. Median rather than mean, so one retail listing cannot drag a market whose floor is far below it.
- One program, one vote: a program contributes its own cheapest verified offer, so a seller with a long catalogue does not count more than a seller with one product.
- Every price is read from the seller's own page and dated. Nothing estimated or modeled enters the dataset or the observed series.
- Observations begin August 20, 2026. The chart's hairline before that date is a modeled reconstruction and is labelled as one.
Recent changes
What this does not show
- What any one patient paid. These are advertised cash prices; a quiz, a coupon or an insurance plan can change the bill.
- Every dose. Most programs advertise one price for the starting dose or for every dose; where a seller prices doses separately, the dataset's dose column says so.
- The whole market. The index covers the programs we list, which are programs we partner with; retail pharmacy and manufacturer prices are outside it.
- Why the index moved. It moves when any program's cheapest offer changes, which includes a new plan, a dropped product or a corrected read; the change log counts only entry-price changes.
- Quality or safety. A lower price says nothing about the pharmacy, the clinician or the product. We earn a commission from some programs; that never changes a price or the index.

What is the GLP-1 Price Index today?
$158 a month (data read October 2026): the median all-in monthly price of the cheapest verified offer at each of 21 US telehealth GLP-1 programs. The cheapest program is $69 a month and the dearest $299.
What is a fair cash price for compounded semaglutide?
$179 a month, paying month to month with nothing prepaid: the median all-in price across 17 programs that sell compounded semaglutide injections that way (range $69 to $299, data read October 2026). The same figure for compounded tirzepatide is $249 across 14 programs.
How often is the index updated?
The page recomputes every hour from our newest reads, and every program's own pricing page is re-read weekly. Observations began on August 20, 2026. Monthly reports freeze their figures on a stated date and are never edited afterwards, except for dated corrections.
Does the index include insurance prices or manufacturer prices?
No. It is built from the cash prices that telehealth programs advertise, with any verified membership fee added. With-insurance prices are excluded, and manufacturer self-pay prices are shown as context on the drug pages, not counted in the index.
Can I use these numbers in an article or report?
Yes. The index, the fair cash price and the dataset are licensed CC BY 4.0: quote them with the attribution "PriceTracker GLP-1, pricetrackerglp1.com" and a link. The CSV and JSON files need no key or sign-up.
