Zepbound Journey Week 1-4: My Experiences and Thoughts #zepbound #glp1
Our summary
In this video, the creator looks back at her first month on Zepbound, a GLP-1 medication she says is used for weight loss. She started on April 26 with the 2.5 mg starter dose and covers weeks one through four, the contents of the first four-pen box. She says she filmed it later because she waited a while before sharing her experience on YouTube.

What else the video covers
She lists the side effects she noticed: slight fatigue, dry mouth and dehydration on waking, and what she calls brain fog, such as losing her train of thought in conversation. She says the brain fog has since faded. She also felt dizzy after her usual medium dark roast coffee and says switching to a medium roast felt better. She describes drinking more water and adding an electrolyte product, and says her craving for water dropped later, so she now has to pay attention to her intake.
She then compares what she expected with what happened. She had heard she would not feel hungry, but she still got hungry, felt full faster, ate smaller portions and snacked less. She had expected nausea, constipation and food aversion, and says she did not have them on 2.5 mg, though her doctor offered a prescription in case. She rotated injections between both sides of her belly and both legs, noticed little difference by site apart from one strong sensation in a leg, and recommends rotating sites. She has not yet tried the back of the arm.
She reports losing 5 lbs on the first box, going from 221.50 to 216 by her third shot. Her weight rose to 219 in week six, which she attributes to her period, and was 213 at the start of the second box. Her doctor kept her on 2.5 mg for one more month before moving her to 5 mg.

Our guides closest to what this video covers, with prices checked weekly.
- Zepbound dosage chart: every tirzepatide dose, the escalation rule, what each rung lost in the trial, and what it costs
Zepbound has six doses, 2.5 to 15 mg, taken once a week. The label's rule is four weeks at 2.5 mg, then 2.5 mg steps with at least four weeks on each, to a maintenance dose of 5, 10 or 15 mg. In SURMOUNT-1 those three doses lost 15.0, 19.5 and 20.9 percent of body weight over 72 weeks. Direct from Lilly each rung has a price, $299 at 2.5 mg rising to $699 at 10 mg and above, so the chart below carries the dose, the rule, the trial result and the bill in one place, plus the vial and KwikPen concentrations for anyone measuring in units.
- Zepbound side effects: the label's table by dose, who actually quits, and how it compares to semaglutide
Zepbound's label puts a number on every common side effect at each of its three maintenance doses. Nausea runs 25 to 29 percent against 8 on placebo, diarrhoea 19 to 23, vomiting 8 to 13, constipation 11 to 17. Across the two approval trials, 4.8 to 6.7 percent of people stopped the drug because of side effects, against 3.4 percent on placebo, and most of those who quit did so in the first months, from gut effects during dose escalation. Below that table are the rarer things the label warns about, with the trial rates where it gives them, and the honest comparison to Ozempic's table.
- GLP-1 constipation, nausea, diarrhoea and fatigue: the label numbers, and what the labels say to do
The four gut effects are the four most common side effects of every GLP-1, and the labels put numbers on them. On Wegovy 2.4 mg: nausea 44%, diarrhoea 30%, constipation 24%, vomiting 24%, fatigue 11%, against 16%, 16%, 11%, 6% and 5% on placebo. On Zepbound at 15 mg: nausea 28%, diarrhoea 23%, constipation 11%, vomiting 13%, fatigue 7%. They cluster around dose increases, they are the reason 6.8% of Wegovy patients and up to 6.7% of Zepbound patients stopped, and both labels prescribe the same fix: climb slower.
