Wegovy Month 3 Update: First Month on 2.4 mg Full Dose

Patient storyAndy the Chonk17,022 views11:16Nov 2025

Our summary

In this month three update, the creator describes his first month on the full 2.4 mg dose of Wegovy. He says he expected double the dose to bring double the results, but the first two weeks were hard. He reports sulfur burps returning consistently, heavier fatigue than before, lower weights at the gym, and slower digestion, with bowel movements going from daily to every other day. Around week three, he says, food noise faded to a new level of quiet and he could go a full day without thinking about food.

What else the video covers

A large part of the video covers relearning how to eat. According to the creator, the medication does not make overeating impossible. He says he can still overeat, even on healthy food, and when he does he gets heartburn, worse sulfur burps, and a heavy feeling in his stomach. He describes cooking too much, feeling guilty about wasting food, alternating between under-eating and overeating, and now tracking fiber, which he sets at 30 g a day, alongside protein and water.

On results, he reports losing about 6 lbs this month, for roughly 18 lbs total since starting. He says he was disappointed at first, but points to looser clothes (7XL to 6XL), better endurance, and what he calls body recomposition. He says he plans to stay on 2.4 mg and check in with his doctor, and he describes the medication as a support tool rather than a shortcut. He also admits he stopped weighing food and became overconfident about eyeballing portions.

Our guides closest to what this video covers, with prices checked weekly.

  • GLP-1 constipation, nausea, diarrhoea and fatigue: the label numbers, and what the labels say to do

The four gut effects are the four most common side effects of every GLP-1, and the labels put numbers on them. On Wegovy 2.4 mg: nausea 44%, diarrhoea 30%, constipation 24%, vomiting 24%, fatigue 11%, against 16%, 16%, 11%, 6% and 5% on placebo. On Zepbound at 15 mg: nausea 28%, diarrhoea 23%, constipation 11%, vomiting 13%, fatigue 7%. They cluster around dose increases, they are the reason 6.8% of Wegovy patients and up to 6.7% of Zepbound patients stopped, and both labels prescribe the same fix: climb slower.

  • Wegovy side effects, and why the top of the ladder is different

Wegovy's side effects are semaglutide's side effects: nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and constipation, worst in the first weeks and after each dose increase. What makes Wegovy different from Ozempic is not the molecule but the destination. Wegovy is dosed for weight management, climbing to 2.4 mg with a 7.2 mg high-dose strength above it, and dose is the main driver of how pronounced the gastrointestinal effects get. It also carries a boxed warning for thyroid C-cell tumour risk. One useful fact while you decide whether to push through: Novo's self-pay price is flat across every pen dose, so a slower climb costs a brand patient nothing.

  • Wegovy 7.2 mg (Wegovy HD): what the higher dose adds, and what it costs

Wegovy HD is semaglutide at 7.2 mg, three times the standard 2.4 mg dose, in its own pen. In the STEP UP trial it took 18.7% off body weight at 72 weeks against 15.6% for 2.4 mg and 3.9% for placebo, in 1,407 adults with obesity. That puts it within 1.5 points of tirzepatide's head-to-head result and makes it the strongest semaglutide there is. Novo sells it direct for $399 a month, $50 above the standard pen, and it sits above the normal ladder rather than replacing it.
