Wegovy Month 2 Update – Side Effects, Results & What Surprised Me

Patient storyAndy the Chonk39,948 views8:45Oct 2025

Our summary

In this month two update, the creator says he moved his Wegovy dose from 1 mg to 1.7 mg and noticed a bigger change than he expected. He describes food noise dropping to near zero, with only faint background thoughts about eating, and says he often reaches noon before remembering to eat. He explains that he did not plan to skip breakfast and that it happened on its own. He also says his appetite changed in a quiet way rather than a dramatic one: he still gets hungry and can still overeat, but he notices fullness sooner and eats more calmly.

What else the video covers

On side effects, he reports that burping and gas come and go depending on how he eats, moves and sleeps. According to him, late dinners and heavy, high-protein evening meals make them worse. He says he now eats dinner around 6:00 pm, keeps the portion smaller, adds vegetables and avoids carbonated drinks after sunset because of gas and heartburn. He adds that on side-effect-free days he sometimes doubts the medicine is working, until the next morning's lack of hunger reassures him.

He reports weighing 445 lbs, about 12 or 13 lbs down from his start, which he calls slower than month one. He says his gym strength has almost doubled and that he went from a 7XL to a 6XL in European sizes. He has just moved to the full 2.4 mg dose for month three. He says his plan stays the same: two gym sessions a week, daily walks, around 2,000 calories on most days and two meals a day, which he has to portion carefully to avoid undereating. This is one person's account, not medical advice.

  • Wegovy side effects, and why the top of the ladder is different

Wegovy's side effects are semaglutide's side effects: nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and constipation, worst in the first weeks and after each dose increase. What makes Wegovy different from Ozempic is not the molecule but the destination. Wegovy is dosed for weight management, climbing to 2.4 mg with a 7.2 mg high-dose strength above it, and dose is the main driver of how pronounced the gastrointestinal effects get. It also carries a boxed warning for thyroid C-cell tumour risk. One useful fact while you decide whether to push through: Novo's self-pay price is flat across every pen dose, so a slower climb costs a brand patient nothing.

  • GLP-1 constipation, nausea, diarrhoea and fatigue: the label numbers, and what the labels say to do

The four gut effects are the four most common side effects of every GLP-1, and the labels put numbers on them. On Wegovy 2.4 mg: nausea 44%, diarrhoea 30%, constipation 24%, vomiting 24%, fatigue 11%, against 16%, 16%, 11%, 6% and 5% on placebo. On Zepbound at 15 mg: nausea 28%, diarrhoea 23%, constipation 11%, vomiting 13%, fatigue 7%. They cluster around dose increases, they are the reason 6.8% of Wegovy patients and up to 6.7% of Zepbound patients stopped, and both labels prescribe the same fix: climb slower.

  • Wegovy 7.2 mg (Wegovy HD): what the higher dose adds, and what it costs

Wegovy HD is semaglutide at 7.2 mg, three times the standard 2.4 mg dose, in its own pen. In the STEP UP trial it took 18.7% off body weight at 72 weeks against 15.6% for 2.4 mg and 3.9% for placebo, in 1,407 adults with obesity. That puts it within 1.5 points of tirzepatide's head-to-head result and makes it the strongest semaglutide there is. Novo sells it direct for $399 a month, $50 above the standard pen, and it sits above the normal ladder rather than replacing it.
