TrumpRx GLP-1 prices: what Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic and Foundayo cost there

TrumpRx.gov does not sell GLP-1s. It lists each maker's own cash price and passes you to the maker: a Novo coupon you show at the pharmacy, or LillyDirect for Lilly's drugs. On 8 October 2026 it showed the Wegovy pill at $149 to $299 a month by dose, the Wegovy pen and Ozempic at $199 for two new-patient fills then $349, Zepbound at $299 to $449 and Foundayo at $149 to $299. Those match what NovoCare and LillyDirect publish, and they are cash only.

Key takeaways

  • 1TrumpRx.gov is a federal price listing, not a pharmacy: for Novo drugs it shows a coupon for the pharmacy counter, for Lilly drugs it sends you to LillyDirect.
  • 2GLP-1 prices there on 8 Oct 2026: Wegovy pill $149 to $299, Wegovy pen $199 (two new-patient fills) then $349, Wegovy HD $399, Ozempic $199 then $349 or $499, Zepbound $299 to $449 with on-time refills, Foundayo $149 to $299, Mounjaro $499.
  • 3Every one of those matches the maker's own self-pay price. TrumpRx is a second door to NovoCare and LillyDirect, not a lower price.
  • 4Cash only. The offers say the spend cannot count toward an insurance deductible or out-of-pocket limit, and Novo's says government beneficiaries are excluded.
  • 5Compounded semaglutide, which is not FDA-approved and is not on TrumpRx, starts at $69 a month on our board.

TrumpRx.gov does not sell GLP-1s and does not lower their price below what the makers already charge. It is a federal listing that shows each manufacturer's cash price and passes you to the manufacturer to pay it. For every GLP-1 on the site on 8 October 2026, the price matched NovoCare or LillyDirect dose for dose. What follows is every listing, what the site and the makers say about who can use it, and where it sits against the other ways to pay.

In plain English

This page reports what the White House, the manufacturers, the Congressional Research Service and independent analysts have published, each attributed and linked in the sources. We take no position on the policy. We cover TrumpRx for one reason: people searching for a GLP-1 price now land on it, and they should know what it does before they reach the checkout.

What TrumpRx is, in the government's words

The White House launched the site on 5 February 2026. Its fact sheet describes the purpose and names the first five companies on it:1

Through the website, patients will be able to access large discounts on many of the most popular and highest-priced medicines in the country, paying prices in line with the lowest paid by other developed nations (known as the most-favored-nation, or MFN, price). ... Today's launch features drugs made by the first five manufacturers to reach MFN pricing deals with the Trump Administration: AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, EMD Serono, Novo Nordisk, and Pfizer.

The White House, 5 February 2026

On the site itself, branded drugs sit under a heading that reads "Deals negotiated by President Trump for brand-name drugs."2 Generics arrived later as a separate list.

The Congressional Research Service, which writes neutral briefings for members of Congress, put the mechanics in one sentence in July 2026:3

TrumpRx connects consumers with drug coupons and DTC pharmacies but is not itself a DTC platform.

Congressional Research Service, IF13281

DTC means direct to consumer. In plain terms: TrumpRx shows you a price and a way to get it, and someone else (a pharmacy using a coupon, or the manufacturer's own pharmacy) fills the prescription and takes the payment. The CRS also notes the site is designed and operated by the National Design Studio, an office inside the Executive Office of the President.3

Every GLP-1 on TrumpRx, priced by dose

We opened every GLP-1 page on trumprx.gov on 8 October 2026 and read the price for each strength. Beside each one the site also prints an "original price", which it describes as the wholesale acquisition cost: the list price before discounts. Those list prices are quoted under the table.

Read on trumprx.gov on 8 October 2026.456789101112 On every page, the printed original price minus the printed saving equals the first row of that drug's dose ladder, which is how we checked the figures the dose selector animates. The "on-time refill" rule is Lilly's: a refill completed within 45 days of the last delivery.1516

The list prices the site prints beside those deals, with the saving it prints against each:5681112

Drug page"Original Price""Savings"
Wegovy pill$1,349.02$1,200.02
Ozempic pen$1,027.51$828.51
Zepbound vial$1,087.00$788.00
Mounjaro$1,112.16$613.16
Trulicity$987.19$598.19

Three things in that table are easy to miss. The Wegovy and Ozempic pen prices of $199 are a limited-time offer for two fills at the starting doses, open from 17 November 2025 to 31 December 2026, after which the pen is $349.4 The Foundayo prices at 2.5 mg and 5.5 mg are temporary reductions that Lilly says run through 31 December 2026; the regular prices are $199 and $299.1016 And Zepbound's $449 ceiling holds only while each refill arrives on time.15

Two GLP-1s also appear as generics in TrumpRx's separate generic list. Liraglutide is listed as "Generic for Victoza", priced by local pharmacy rather than at one national figure: "Compare prices near you. Prices may vary depending on what the pharmacy has in stock."23 Victoza is a diabetes medicine; the generic list carries no weight-loss GLP-1 such as Wegovy or Zepbound.

Is TrumpRx cheaper than NovoCare or LillyDirect?

No. On 8 October 2026 every GLP-1 price on TrumpRx was the same as the manufacturer's own self-pay price for the same dose. We read the makers' pages the same day.

DrugTrumpRxMaker's own self-pay channel
Wegovy pill$149 / $199 / $299NovoCare: $149 / $199 / $29913
Wegovy pen$199 twice, then $349; HD $399NovoCare: $199 twice, then $349; HD $39913
Ozempic pen$199 twice, then $349; 2 mg $499NovoCare: $199 twice, then $349; 2 mg $49914
Ozempic pill$149 / $199 / $299NovoCare: $149 / $199 / $29914

Foundayo$149 to $299 on-timeLillyDirect: $149 to $299 on-time16
Mounjaro$499LillyDirect: $49917

That is consistent with how the deals were announced. Lilly's own release on the 6 November 2025 agreement put the Zepbound figures at "$299, with additional doses up to $449", sold "through LillyDirect's self-pay pharmacy channel", and added that "the scope of the agreement does not include pricing obligations in the commercial channel".19 In other words, the negotiated price is the maker's cash price, and TrumpRx displays it.

NBC News, reporting on 7 October 2026, described the same arrangement from the outside: "TrumpRx doesn't sell the drugs directly. For many drugs, it sends consumers to manufacturer programs through which they can obtain coupons or discounted cash prices without insurance."22

In plain English

So the useful question is not TrumpRx against NovoCare or LillyDirect. It is the maker's cash price against everything else you could pay: your insurance copay, a telehealth program, or a compounded version. The rest of this page answers that.

Our full maker-by-maker breakdowns are in what Wegovy costs, every way to pay, Zepbound without insurance, every dose and the Foundayo guide.

How buying a GLP-1 through TrumpRx works

The route depends on the manufacturer, and the White House launch fact sheet says so: patients "will be able to access savings through user-friendly coupons that can be printed or downloaded onto their phones or through channels set up by the manufacturer and integrated into" the site.1 For GLP-1s that splits cleanly by company.

Novo Nordisk drugs: a coupon you take to the pharmacy

Wegovy (pen and pill) and Ozempic (pen and pill) each show a coupon on trumprx.gov. The instruction on the page reads: "Present the coupon at your pharmacy to claim your TrumpRx savings."4 Before the coupon numbers appear you accept terms, which say the offer "is for self-pay patients only", that you are a US resident aged 18 or older, and that you have a valid prescription.4

  1. Get a prescription from your own prescriber or a telehealth clinician.
  2. Open the drug's page on trumprx.gov, choose the strength, and accept the terms to reveal the coupon.
  3. Show the coupon at a retail pharmacy that dispenses the drug and pay the listed cash price.

Eli Lilly drugs: a handoff to LillyDirect

Zepbound, Foundayo, Mounjaro and Trulicity carry no coupon. Each page sends you to Lilly's own pharmacy. The Zepbound vial page reads: "Eli Lilly and Company manages all Zepbound (Tirzepatide) Vial orders through LillyDirect®. LillyDirect® will guide you through eligibility confirmation and offers delivery options."8 The KwikPen and Foundayo pages add that LillyDirect "offers delivery options or transfer to a retail pharmacy of your choosing".9

Once you click through, you are a LillyDirect customer on LillyDirect's terms. The price, the 45-day refill rule and the eligibility checks are Lilly's.15

Worth knowing

Your prescription does not go to TrumpRx. The CRS describes the site as connecting people to coupons and pharmacies rather than dispensing anything,3 so the prescription goes to the pharmacy that fills it: a retail pharmacy for Novo's coupons, LillyDirect's pharmacy for Lilly's drugs.

Who can use it: cash pay, and the government-insurance rules

The GLP-1 offers on TrumpRx are self-pay offers. The site prints "This is an out-of-pocket price" on each drug page and tells insured readers to check their copay first.4 What changes the answer is whether you are covered by a government programme.

Novo's pill pages state it outright: "Government beneficiaries excluded."57 The terms you accept for the Novo coupon also address anyone with "any state, federal, or government healthcare programs (examples include but are not limited to Medicare, Medicare Part D ... Medicaid)". Those buyers agree to:4

(1) not ask your insurance to pay you back for the money that you self-paid for your medication using this offer; (2) cannot attempt to count the cost of this medicine toward your insurance deductible or out-of-pocket limit

Wegovy self-pay offer terms, as shown on trumprx.gov

The two statements sit on the same Novo pages and read differently: one excludes government beneficiaries, the other sets conditions for people who have government coverage. We are reporting both as printed. If you are on Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE or VA coverage, ask the pharmacist or Novo whether the coupon will process for you before you rely on it.

Lilly's self-pay terms take the same line on reimbursement. The Zepbound KwikPen self-pay card is "for self-paying (cash) patients only", and the buyer agrees not to seek reimbursement "from any third-party payer, including private insurance or state or federal healthcare programs, nor apply those costs toward any deductible or true out-of-pocket requirements".15

The CRS summarised who gains most: "consumers who are uninsured or go outside of their coverage are most likely to achieve savings using TrumpRx."3

What a TrumpRx purchase does not count toward

Three sources say the same thing in different words:

  • Novo's offer terms: you "cannot attempt to count the cost of this medicine toward your insurance deductible or out-of-pocket limit."4
  • Lilly's self-pay terms: you will not "apply those costs toward any deductible or true out-of-pocket requirements."15
  • NBC News: "The money spent on TrumpRx doesn't count toward a patient's copay or deductible."22

"True out-of-pocket" is the Medicare Part D running total that moves you toward the annual cap. So a year of Wegovy pens bought for cash, $4,237 for a new patient at the published prices (Novo counts a month as one box of four weekly pens, so 52 weeks is 13 fills: two at $199, eleven at $349), leaves your deductible and your out-of-pocket maximum where they were.13 If you expect other large medical bills this year, factor that in.

If you have insurance or Medicare, check these first

TrumpRx's own pages tell insured readers to check their copay first, and two routes can come in far below the cash price.

  • Commercial insurance that covers the drug. Both makers run savings cards that can bring a covered GLP-1 down to as little as $25 a month. These are not TrumpRx offers and they need a commercial plan. How the copay cards work sets out the limits.
  • Medicare Part D. The White House's November 2025 fact sheet said "Medicare beneficiaries will pay a co-pay of just $50 per month",18 and Lilly says eligible Part D members "may be able to get Foundayo for $50 per month, beginning July 1, 2026".20 That runs through your Part D plan, not through TrumpRx. Details are in does Medicare cover GLP-1s.

TrumpRx against the telehealth programs we track

Some telehealth programs on our board prescribe the branded drugs and charge the maker's cash price for the medicine, plus a membership. Sesame Care is one: it lists the Wegovy pill at $149 plus a $59 membership, $208 a month all-in.

Set against the $149 TrumpRx listing for the 1.5 mg pill, the TrumpRx listing is the lower monthly figure. Sesame Care's figure includes its membership, and the membership pays for the prescribing visit: TrumpRx requires a prescription and does not provide one.

The same holds for Zepbound and Foundayo. Sesame Care's all-in starting price is $358 for Zepbound and $208 for Foundayo, each with its $59 membership counted. Against the TrumpRx starting prices of $299 and $149, TrumpRx shows the lower figure for both.

In plain English

If you already have a prescriber, the maker's price through TrumpRx, NovoCare or LillyDirect carries no membership on top. If you do not, a telehealth program bundles the visit, and the board below shows what each one charges all-in.

Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide: the price TrumpRx does not list

TrumpRx lists FDA-approved branded drugs and generics. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, made by licensed pharmacies and sold through telehealth programs, are not on it. They are the same molecules and they are not FDA-approved, which means no FDA review of the finished product for safety, effectiveness or quality.

On price, compounded semaglutide starts at $69 a month on our board, and that is below the $149 TrumpRx floor for the Wegovy pill. Compounded tirzepatide starts at $119, and that is below the $299 TrumpRx starting price for Zepbound. Over a year at the Zepbound maintenance tier, 13 four-week fills at $449 on time come to $5,837,1524 against about $1,400 for the cheapest compounded tirzepatide on our board.

What FDA says about compounded semaglutide sets out the concerns in FDA's own words, and the cheapest GLP-1 programs, ranked has every price we track.

What the White House projects, and what analysts found

We set the administration's figures and outside analyses side by side without weighing them.

The administration's numbers. The launch fact sheet put the GLP-1 reductions this way:1

The monthly prices of Ozempic and injectable Wegovy will fall from $1,028 and $1,349, respectively, to an average price of $350 and as low as $199, depending on dosage strength. ... The monthly price of Zepbound and will fall from $1,088 to an average price of $346 and as low as $299, depending on dosage strength.

The White House, 5 February 2026

The CRS reports a Council of Economic Advisers estimate that TrumpRx "may result in savings for patients outside of their prescription drug coverage of $3,000 per year per patient by 2028 for weight loss drugs".3

KFF's comparison with other countries. On 7 October 2026 NBC News reported a KFF analysis of 32 brand-name drugs on TrumpRx: "For 17 of the drugs, the TrumpRx prices were lower than the average prices abroad. For 15, they were higher." On Ozempic it reported: "It's $349 through TrumpRx."22

What neither measures. Both compare TrumpRx with list prices or foreign prices, not with the makers' own NovoCare and LillyDirect cash prices, which it matched.

The bottom line

TrumpRx gives you the maker's cash price for Wegovy, Ozempic, Zepbound, Foundayo, Mounjaro and Trulicity in one place, with a coupon for Novo's drugs and a link to LillyDirect for Lilly's. It does not undercut NovoCare or LillyDirect; on 8 October 2026 it matched them at every dose. It needs a prescription you arrange yourself, it is cash only, and the spend does not count toward your deductible.

If you have coverage, price your copay and the savings card first. If you need a prescriber as well as the drug, or will consider a compounded version, the board above shows every program's all-in price.

Common questions

What is TrumpRx?

TrumpRx.gov is a federal website, launched on 5 February 2026, that lists discounted cash prices for brand-name drugs whose makers signed most-favored-nation pricing deals with the administration, plus a separate list of generics added in May 2026. It does not sell or dispense anything. The Congressional Research Service describes it as connecting consumers with drug coupons and direct-to-consumer pharmacies rather than being one itself.

Is TrumpRx cheaper than LillyDirect or NovoCare?

Not for GLP-1s. On 8 October 2026 every GLP-1 price on TrumpRx matched the maker's own self-pay price for the same dose: the Wegovy pill at $149, $199 and $299, the Wegovy pen at $199 for two new-patient fills then $349, Zepbound at $299, $399 and $449 with on-time refills, Foundayo at $149 to $299 and Mounjaro at $499. For Lilly's drugs TrumpRx links straight to LillyDirect.

How much is Wegovy on TrumpRx?

The Wegovy pill is $149 a month at 1.5 mg, $199 at 4 mg and $299 at 9 and 25 mg. The Wegovy pen is $199 for each of the first two monthly fills at 0.25 or 0.5 mg for new patients (an offer that runs through 31 December 2026), then $349 at any standard dose, and $399 for the 7.2 mg Wegovy HD pen. TrumpRx shows a coupon you present at a retail pharmacy.

What is the TrumpRx price for Zepbound?

Zepbound is listed at $299 a month for 2.5 mg and $399 for 5 mg. From 7.5 mg to 15 mg it is $449 as long as each refill is completed within 45 days of the last delivery; otherwise it is $499 at 7.5 mg and $699 at 10, 12.5 and 15 mg. The same prices apply to the vial and the KwikPen, and TrumpRx sends you to LillyDirect to buy.

How much is Foundayo on TrumpRx?

Foundayo is $149 a month at 0.8 mg and 2.5 mg, $199 at 5.5 mg and $299 at 9 mg, 14.5 mg and 17.2 mg, with the top two strengths at $349 if a refill is late. The 2.5 mg and 5.5 mg prices are temporary reductions that Lilly says run through 31 December 2026; the regular prices are $199 and $299. Purchase is through LillyDirect.

Is Ozempic on TrumpRx?

Yes. The Ozempic pen is $199 for each of the first two monthly fills at 0.25 or 0.5 mg for new self-pay patients, then $349 a month at 0.25, 0.5 or 1 mg and $499 at 2 mg. The Ozempic pill is listed at $149 to $299 a month by strength. Both use a Novo coupon at a retail pharmacy, and the prices match NovoCare's.

Can I use TrumpRx with insurance?

The GLP-1 offers are for self-pay patients only, so your insurance is not billed. The site prints 'This is an out-of-pocket price' on each drug page and advises insured readers to check their copay first. If a commercial plan covers your GLP-1, a manufacturer savings card can bring it to as little as $25 a month, which is lower than any TrumpRx price.

Can I use TrumpRx if I have Medicare or Medicaid?

Novo's Wegovy pill and Ozempic pill offers on TrumpRx state 'Government beneficiaries excluded.' The same offer terms also set conditions for people with Medicare, Medicaid, VA or TRICARE coverage, so ask the pharmacist before relying on the coupon. Separately, eligible Medicare Part D members can get Wegovy, Zepbound or Foundayo for $50 a month through their plan, which runs outside TrumpRx.

Does a TrumpRx purchase count toward my deductible?

No. Novo's offer terms say you cannot count the cost toward your insurance deductible or out-of-pocket limit, Lilly's self-pay terms say you will not apply the cost toward any deductible or true out-of-pocket requirement, and NBC News reported that money spent on TrumpRx does not count toward a copay or deductible.

Is compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide on TrumpRx?

No. TrumpRx lists FDA-approved branded drugs and generics, and compounded GLP-1s are not FDA-approved. Through telehealth programs, compounded semaglutide starts at $69 a month and compounded tirzepatide at $119 on our board, each checked on the seller's own page. They are the same molecules without FDA review of the finished product.
