A named pharmacy is something you can check, not a safety rating. Almost every program here sells compounded medication, which is not FDA-approved, and most name several pharmacies without saying which one will fill your order: ask before you pay.

Which pharmacy fills your prescription?

6 programs on the board name the pharmacies that fill their prescriptions, 16 pharmacies between them. None of the 16 is on FDA's register of 503B outsourcing facilities, so each one is, as far as FDA's records show, a state-licensed 503A pharmacy overseen by its state board. Boothwyn Pharmacy has an FDA warning letter that names a GLP-1 drug, linked below.

Each pharmacy is matched by name against FDA's 503B register (read 14 Oct 2026) and every FDA warning letter that names semaglutide, tirzepatide or a GLP-1 (read 14 Oct 2026). A name match is a lead, not proof of the same company; a letter about a drug other than a GLP-1 is not in this set; and a 503A pharmacy's licence is on its state board's register, not FDA's. Of the 16 programs we have researched in depth, 10 say a licensed pharmacy fills the order without naming it; they are not on this list.

503A or 503B, in plain words

503A pharmacy

A state-licensed pharmacy that compounds a prescription for one named patient. Its state board of pharmacy does the day-to-day oversight. It does not register with FDA and does not have to follow the factory quality rules (cGMP). A pharmacy on this page that is not on the 503B register is, as far as FDA’s records show, this kind.

503B outsourcing facility

Registers with FDA, follows cGMP, the quality rules drug factories follow, and is inspected by FDA. It can make batches without a prescription per patient. FDA publishes the register, with each facility’s last inspection, and we keep a searchable copy.

FDA, Compounding and the FDA: Questions and Answers

“Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. This means that FDA does not verify the safety, effectiveness or quality of compounded drugs before they are marketed. ... Generally, state boards of pharmacy have primary responsibility for the day-to-day oversight of state-licensed pharmacies that are not registered with FDA as outsourcing facilities. FDA does conduct surveillance and for-cause inspections of state-licensed pharmacies that are not registered as outsourcing facilities.”

How to check the pharmacy that fills yours

  1. Ask the program which pharmacy will fill your order before you pay. Most of the programs above name several pharmacies and do not say in advance which one fills a given order.
  2. Read the name and address on the label when it arrives. It is the pharmacy that answers for what is in the vial.
  3. Look the name up on your state board of pharmacy’s licence search. For a 503B facility, FDA’s register is the place, and our copy links each one’s record.
  4. Check FDA’s warning letters. Every GLP-1 letter FDA has posted is searchable here.

How to choose a GLP-1 program: 7 checks

Price ranks the list. These decide whether the cheapest is cheapest for you. Each count is from the programs on this page, today.

The price at your dose
Few sellers publish dose prices
Advertised prices are usually the starting dose. A seller that charges more as you step up can end up dearer than one with a higher entry price.
How long you commit
6 of 6 sell GLP-1 month to month
5 of 6 publish cancel-anytime terms. A low price that needs a 6 or 12-month prepay is a loan to the seller if you stop early.
Fees on top
0 of 6 add a membership fee
None charge a separate consultation. We rank on the all-in price so a fee cannot hide.
Insurance
0 of 6 take insurance
Most cash programs cannot bill your plan. If your plan covers a brand GLP-1, a copay can beat every cash price here.
Brand or compounded
3 of 6 also sell an FDA-approved brand
Compounded versions are cheaper and not FDA-approved. If you want the approved drug later, a seller that stocks both saves a switch.
Who stands behind it
6 of 6 say who does the prescribing
A real program names its clinician network and its pharmacy. LegitScript certifies telehealth sellers; check a certificate on legitscript.com, not on a badge the seller hosts.
Where you live
2 of 6 ship to all 50 states
State rules decide who can prescribe and dispense. Check your state before you pay an intake fee.

Cheapest GLP-1 program that names its pharmacy: common questions

Which GLP-1 programs name their compounding pharmacy?

Embody, SnagRx, Sprout Health, bmiMD, Bodybuilding.com Health+ and ShedRx: 6 of the 25 programs we track name the pharmacies that fill their prescriptions on their own pages. Of the other programs we have researched in depth, 10 say a licensed pharmacy fills the order without naming it.

What is the cheapest GLP-1 program that names its pharmacy?

Embody, at $49 a month all in on a 12-month plan, read off its own site in October 2026. Month to month, the cheapest is SnagRx at $69.

Are these pharmacies 503A or 503B?

None of the 16 pharmacies these programs name is on FDA's register of 503B outsourcing facilities, so as far as FDA's records show each is a state-licensed 503A pharmacy, overseen mainly by its state board of pharmacy rather than inspected by FDA on a schedule.

Do any of these pharmacies have an FDA warning letter?

Boothwyn Pharmacy has an FDA warning letter that names a GLP-1 drug, matched by name; the page links the letter. A warning letter is FDA's statement of alleged violations, not a court finding.

Does a named pharmacy mean the medication is FDA-approved?

No. A named pharmacy is one you can look up; it says nothing about approval. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved, whoever compounds them, and FDA does not check their safety, effectiveness or quality before they are sold.

  • PricesRead from each seller’s own page and dated, weekly. 156 recorded checks across 6 sellers since August 2026. How we verify
  • OrderPrice only, all in. We earn a commission from some programs and it never moves a row. How we make money
  • Written byJulian Caraulani, Founder, PriceTracker GLP-1.
  • All in, not advertised. A $149 program with a $74 monthly membership is a $223 program, and it ranks as one. Where a seller has not published a fee we could verify, the row says so rather than assuming zero.
  • Same money, shorter plan first. On a tie, the price you can walk away from after a month ranks above the same number on a prepay; then the name, alphabetically.
  • Only sellers we can verify. Programs we cannot check, or that have stopped taking patients, drop off the list rather than sitting on it stale.
