She says she lost 34 lbs, stayed on the lowest dose of 2.5 mg for four therapeutic months, then spent two weaning months before stopping. At the time of filming she had been off the medication for 6 months and says she has maintained her weight.

What else the video covers
She explains that after two pregnancies she had about 35 lbs she could not lose, along with fatigue, a heart condition, signs of insulin resistance and hormonal issues. Her cardiologist did not manage GLP-1 prescriptions, so she turned to online clinics. She says she chose tirzepatide over semaglutide because she expected faster loss and fewer side effects, and chose a compounded version because her insurance would not cover the brand. She gives a price of about 350 a month for compounded versus about 550 with a coupon. She reports nausea that peaked around day three after each weekly shot, some fatigue and lightheadedness, and says a sugar-free electrolyte drink helped. She aimed for 100 grams of protein a day and moved from mostly cardio to strength training.
For stopping, she says she dropped to 1.5 mg (15 units), then took it every other week in the last month before quitting. She says hunger and food noise returned a little, but healthier habits, a high protein diet, intermittent fasting and regular exercise kept things manageable. She says she has fluctuated by a couple of pounds, mostly around her cycle, and cautions that her story may not apply to people with chronic obesity or diabetes.

- Mounjaro for weight loss, and why Zepbound exists
Mounjaro is tirzepatide approved for type 2 diabetes. Zepbound is the same molecule from the same maker, approved for weight management, and it goes to the same 15 mg. So unlike Ozempic and Wegovy, there is no dose ceiling pushing you from one to the other: the reason people move is coverage and cash price, not strength. Using Mounjaro for weight is off-label and a prescriber's decision. In the one head-to-head trial, tirzepatide beat semaglutide, 20.2% mean body-weight loss at 72 weeks against 13.7%.
- Mounjaro side effects: the label's numbers by dose, the low blood sugar risk, and how tirzepatide compares at weight-loss doses
On Mounjaro's own label, the common side effects are stomach ones and they rise with the dose: nausea in 12, 15 and 18 percent of people at 5, 10 and 15 mg against 4 percent on placebo, diarrhea 12 to 17 against 9, and any gastrointestinal reaction in 37 to 44 percent against 20. Most of it happens while the dose is being raised and fades. Low blood sugar is rare on Mounjaro alone and is mainly a risk when it is added to insulin or a sulfonylurea. Below: the full table, the rare warnings, and why Zepbound's numbers for the same molecule look higher.
- What is Zepbound? Tirzepatide explained: what it treats, how it works, and what it costs
Zepbound is Eli Lilly's brand of tirzepatide, a once-weekly injection that acts on two hormone receptors, GIP and GLP-1. The FDA label approves it, with diet and exercise, for weight reduction in adults with obesity or overweight plus a weight-related condition, and for moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea in adults with obesity. In the SURMOUNT-5 trial it produced 20.2% average weight loss at 72 weeks against 13.7% for semaglutide. Lilly sells it self-pay from $299 a month.
