Fine summer challenge wk. 3&4 Rybelsus 14mg /Wevogy 1.7 update
Our summary
In this update for weeks 3 and 4 of her summer challenge, Stephanie says she is taking Rybelsus, the pill form of semaglutide, and her weight stayed flat for two weeks. She reports dropping from 139 to 137 pounds at her previous weigh-in and staying at 137 this week. She attributes the stall to eating beef three times, including oxtails, steak and a double cheeseburger. In her view, semaglutide slows digestion, so her body held onto the food longer.

What else the video covers
She says vacation is coming in about three weeks and she hopes to lose four to six more pounds before then, though she doubts she can reach 130. She mentions that phentermine would likely produce faster loss, but she does not want to ask for it again. Instead she plans to cut out meat, eat more sushi, which she says she ate on several days in a week she lost weight, and increase her jump rope routine from 100 to 200 jumps a day toward 300 to 400. She also talks about her skincare routine and daily glutathione and vitamin C supplements, and describes evening walks or light jogs with her drink to sweat.
She puts her total at about two months in, from 144 to 137 pounds, and says her mother has lost 24 pounds in her third month. She contrasts this with an earlier plan that involved 30 minutes of daily cardio, Slimvance and keto or pescatarian eating. With semaglutide, she says, eating less, moving more and drinking water is enough, and she advises taking fiber or laxatives because food stays in the body longer.

Questions this video answers
Why did weight loss stall on Rybelsus after a few weeks?
Stephanie says she stayed at 137 pounds for a week and blames eating beef three times. She explains that semaglutide slows digestion, so in her experience heavy meals like steak, oxtails and a double cheeseburger sat in her body longer.
How much weight did she lose on Rybelsus in about two months?
She says she started at 143, rose to 144 and then reached 137 pounds. She calls that slow, noting that she says doing it right should mean about eight pounds a month, or two pounds a week.
What does she suggest for constipation or slow digestion on semaglutide pills?
She says to take fiber or laxatives because the medication makes the body hold onto food. She adds that this can hide weight loss on the scale because you digest more slowly and eat much less.
How much weight did her mother lose on semaglutide?
Stephanie says her mother has lost 24 pounds and is in her third month. She says her mother is about to reach a size she has not worn in 10 years.

- The best GLP-1 for weight loss, ranked by the evidence and then by the bill
By weight lost, the order is settled: tirzepatide (Zepbound) first at 20.2% in the only head-to-head, then semaglutide 7.2 mg (Wegovy HD) at 18.7%, then semaglutide 2.4 mg (Wegovy) at 13.7% to 15.6%, then the pills. By what you pay, the order nearly inverts: compounded semaglutide from $69 a month, the Wegovy tablet from $149, Wegovy pen $349, Zepbound $299 to $699 by dose. The best one is where those two lists meet for your budget and your plan.
- GLP-1 muscle loss: how much of the weight is muscle, and what protects it
On semaglutide or tirzepatide, roughly a quarter to two fifths of the weight you lose is lean mass rather than fat: 25% in tirzepatide's SURMOUNT-1 scan substudy, and 25% to 39% across 20 randomised trials. That share is close to what diet-only weight loss costs. Lean mass is not all muscle, and strength held up in the shorter trials. Resistance training cut the lean share to 17.5% in the pooled trials, and expert groups pair it with enough protein.
- Retatrutide: up to 28.3% weight loss in trials, no FDA approval yet, and no legal way to buy it today
Retatrutide is Eli Lilly's experimental weekly injection that acts on three hormone receptors (GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon). In the phase 3 TRIUMPH-1 trial, people on the 12 mg dose lost 28.3% of their weight at 80 weeks by Lilly's efficacy measure (25.0% counting everyone randomized). It is not FDA-approved, has no price, and cannot legally be sold. Lilly plans to file with FDA in Q1 2027. Tirzepatide is the closest thing you can buy now, compounded from $85 a month on our board.
