We earn a commission if you buy through us. That is exactly why the verdict above is computed from the rows below rather than written, and why a seller we cannot vouch for gets a page that says so.

CheckVerdictWhat we found
Independent reviewsVerified4.6 out of 5 across 14,673 published reviews. That volume is hard to fake and it is not our number: it is the review platform's.
Advertised price verifiedVerifiedWe read 2 prices from Direct Meds GLP-1's own page and quote each one verbatim, last checked 13 October 2026. If the number at checkout does not match, that is a discrepancy you can hold them to.
Fees disclosedVerifiedNo membership fee, verified against their own pricing page. The headline price is the price.
What you actually receiveRead thisDispenses compounded tirzepatide. Compounded drugs are made by a pharmacy rather than the manufacturer and are not FDA-approved, which is a real and specific caveat rather than a synonym for fake. Legitimate, and not the same thing as Wegovy or Zepbound.
FDA warning lettersRead thisFDA sent directmeds.com, Inc. dba DirectMeds a warning letter dated Sep 9, 2025 (Unlawful Sale of Unapproved and Misbranded Drugs to United States Consumers Over the Internet (Telehealth)). No closeout letter is published. A warning letter is FDA's statement of alleged violations, not a court finding.
Price stability, trackedVerifiedWe hold 18 price observations going back about 7 months. Their price has moved in that window, which the chart on their page shows in full.
CancellationVerifiedCancellable without a phone call, per their own published terms.
Medical oversightVerifiedLicensed clinicians. A licensed prescriber is not optional for these drugs, and anyone offering to skip that step is the thing this question should actually be worried about.
LegitScript certificationUnverifiedWe found no LegitScript seal or checker link on their site. Many legitimate operations are not certified, including some very large ones, so this is a missing confirmation rather than a mark against them.
Where they shipVerifiedShips to 49 states, excluding Arkansas. Worth checking yours before you spend time on an intake form.

The trade-offs

What works

  • One bundled price that already covers the medication each month
  • An uncomplicated, easy-to-follow sign-up
  • Nothing tacked on later — no surprise or buried fees

What does not

  • Carries compounded formulas only, not FDA-approved brand drugs
  • A lesser-known name with a thinner online review trail

Common questions

Is Direct Meds GLP-1 legit?

A real business, with 2 caveats and 1 thing we could not confirm. The honest caveat is the medication, not the company: compounded GLP-1s are lawful and are not FDA-approved. Of the 10 things we check, 7 verified, 2 carry a caveat and 1 we could not confirm. Last checked October 2026.

How much does Direct Meds GLP-1 cost?

$249 a month all-in, read from their own page and last checked October 2026. The cheapest comparable program we track is SnagRx at $69.

Does Direct Meds GLP-1 sell real semaglutide or tirzepatide?

They dispense compounded medication, made by a pharmacy rather than the original manufacturer. It is lawful and it is not FDA-approved, which is a genuine distinction rather than a synonym for counterfeit. It is also why it costs a fraction of the brand.

Can I cancel Direct Meds GLP-1?

The terms say you can cancel up to 48 hours before the next processing date by turning off auto-refill in the account portal. The help center says U.S. patients cannot change subscriptions in the portal and must call 888-696-7176 or use live chat, and that orders can be cancelled only before they are submitted to the pharmacy.

Does Direct Meds GLP-1 take insurance?

Direct Meds does not process insurance claims; you can pay and seek reimbursement yourself. The FAQ says HSA and FSA payments are accepted for all GLP-1 treatments.

Who owns Direct Meds GLP-1, and which pharmacy fills it?

The terms and privacy policy name no legal entity; they call the company only "directmeds.com" or "direct-meds.com". The site footer gives a Houston, Texas mailbox address (1321 Upland Dr. PMB 4059). BBB lists Direct Meds LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah, with the same 833-949-8998 phone number the terms give for text support, and the terms choose Utah law. Yes. FDA sent directmeds.com, Inc. dba DirectMeds a warning letter dated Sep 9, 2025 (Unlawful Sale of Unapproved and Misbranded Drugs to United States Consumers Over the Internet (Telehealth)).
