30 Days on Ozempic: My Honest Results & Experience!
Our summary
Jen, who posts on the channel Silver and Solo, gives a one-month update on her plan to lose 100 lbs while using Ozempic. She says she has lost 12 lbs in the first month, with 7 lbs coming off in the first week and about 5 lbs over the rest of the month. She calls the pace a slog and says the early drop got her excited. She now has 88 lbs to go. She notes that 12 lbs a month is in line with the rate she has seen cited online, about 10 pounds a month or 2.5 pounds a week, and estimates that rate would take a little over eight months for 100 lbs.

What else the video covers
On the medication itself, Jen says giving herself the shots in her belly is not difficult. She reports no bad side effects apart from some constipation, which she says is expected when digestion slows. The upside she stresses is that the constant voice telling her to eat has stopped while she is on Ozempic. She describes this as food chatter, which she says she had around the clock before and had to fight most of the time.
Jen also describes how she tracks food. She logs calories in the My Fitness Pal app, aiming to stay under 1500 per day, and shares her food diary. She noticed she was well short of the roughly 70 g of protein the app set as a default, so she bought a chocolate protein powder with 24 grams per scoop and tries to add one scoop daily to avoid losing muscle. She says she still has an occasional glass of wine and that her diary is not always ideal. The video is her personal experience, not medical advice.

- How long do Ozempic, Wegovy and Zepbound take to work? The label calendar and the trial timepoints
GLP-1s act from the first dose, but the labels start low on purpose and step up every 4 weeks, so most people do not reach a full dose for 3 to 5 months. Each dose reaches steady levels in the blood after about 4 to 5 weeks. In the trials, people averaged 10.6% weight loss after 20 weeks of Wegovy's escalation and 20.9% after 36 weeks of Zepbound, with the full trial results at 68 to 72 weeks. For type 2 diabetes, Ozempic's A1C results were measured at week 30.
- Ozempic for weight loss, and where the ladder runs out
Ozempic is approved for type 2 diabetes, not for weight loss. Taking it to lose weight is off-label, which is legal, extremely common, and a prescriber's decision. The consequence nobody mentions is the ceiling: Ozempic's doses stop at 2 mg while Wegovy, the same molecule approved for weight, goes to 2.4 mg with a 7.2 mg strength above that. Someone using Ozempic for weight eventually runs out of ladder, and switching brand is the usual answer.
- Mounjaro vs Ozempic, and the trial everyone quotes about it
Mounjaro is tirzepatide and Ozempic is semaglutide: different molecules, not two brands of the same drug. Both are approved for type 2 diabetes, and the weight-loss versions are Zepbound and Wegovy. In the one head-to-head trial, SURMOUNT-5, tirzepatide produced 20.2% mean body-weight loss at 72 weeks against semaglutide's 13.7%. The detail almost every page omits: that trial dosed semaglutide to 2.4 mg in people without diabetes, which is the Wegovy range. Ozempic tops out at 2 mg. The famous result did not test Ozempic's dose range.
